Who should be a member of the SCSPD? The membership of the SPD Association consists of individuals, SPD's or corporations whose primary interest isthe development of the SPD's in South Carolina.

    Annual Meeting
    The SPD Association holds its Annual Convention during the 3rd quarter of the year. This affords members an opportunity to exchange ideas and hear guest speakers from every facet of the SPD industry. The Convention is also a time for the business meeting of the Association where policies are adopted and the officers and directors are elected. At the Convention lifelong friendships are begun and renewed. [Top]


    Directory
    A directory of the current members is published by the Association for distribution to the membership and other interested parties. [Top]


    Government Affairs
    The Executive Director of the Association is a registered lobbyist at the State Capitol. He closely surveys the activities of goverment at all levels and acts as a spokesman for the Association. Legislative reports are distributed to members to keep them up-to-date on the issues affecting SPD's and related businesses in South Carolina. [Top]


    Group Travel
    The Association sponsors group travel opportunities from time to time which enable members to save money on travel costs. [Top]


    Insurance
    A comprehensive insurance program is available to members of the Association at group rates. The program is administered by a professional administrator guaranteeing prompt and efficient service to each participant on a personal basis. The program is constantly monitored to assure that it properly serves the needs of the membership. [Top]


    Newsletter
    The newsletter contains articles of interest to the membership including activities of the Association, general business tips, and news of interest of your service organization. [Top]

    Training Seminars
    In addition to the Annual Convention, training seminars are held during the year. Timely topics and knowledgeable speakers provide a fonum for the member and his employees to stay abreast of such things as legislation, regulations, operating and service initiatives. [Top]
